About Storm Relief.org
In 1999 StormRelief.org was formed by Billy W. Davis, patriarch
and founder of the Billy Davis Family Foundation shortly after the
devastation caused by Hurricane Floyd. Based in Rum Cay, Bahamas
and spanning the Caribbean these two benevolent organizations have
established a collaborative mission of providing humanitarian assistance
helping displaced and Caribbean families in the aftermath of deadly
hurricanes and tropical storms. In addition, The Billy Davis Family
Foundation has, over the last 25 years, assisted underprivileged families
with the needs of everyday life by:
- Providing fresh water wells to those without sanitary water
- Providing Air Conditioning to the elderly
- Providing “Christmas Across The Bahamas” to disadvantaged children
- Donating $5,000,000 for computer learning centers on 10 Bahamian islands
- Provided transportation for those decimated by tropical disasters
- Donating aircraft for emergencies to Caribbean families in need
- Providing clothing for the indigent
- Sponsoring athletic fellowship competition and provided transportation for youngsters
- Providing science and computer labs to foster educational advancement within in the Bahamas
In response to the outpouring of people devastated by Hurricane Ike StormRelief.org and the Billy Davis Family Foundation, two of the oldest humanitarian groups in the Southern Bahamas, we are again accepting donations to help with the ongoing disaster relief efforts.
The people on the Island of Inagua – Bahamas, need your help and they need it bad. Time is of the essence.
StormRelief.org has established an account to receive donations for our efforts. One Hundred percent (100%) of all donations go to helping the disaster areas of the Bahamas.
“The families of the Bahamas need your help desperately. I implore you to give anything you can to help with the plight of the suffering people of this region. ” said Billy Davis, Chairman of the Foundation. Davis has personally contributed over $250,000 of his own money and has donated ambulances, food, medical supplies and housing materials to disaster relief in this area.
Davis further stated “We need your help. If you are able bodied and can help the survivors of this region I implore you to come on your boat or get here as fast a you can. If you are unable any small donation will help.” CPA Richard Ross has been set up as the Organizations administrator.
